PACIFIC RIM BOOK FESTIVAL NAMES “MADISONVILLE” AS WINNER

LOS ANGELES _ A fast-paced thriller of something strange going on in a Northwest prison is the grand prize winner of the 2017 Pacific Rim Book Festival, which honors the best books of the spring.

Author J.A. Huff’s “Madisonville” (Inkwater Press) starts when six college students decide to attempt the perfect crime. It almost works – until one of them makes a foolish move. They are sentenced to Madisonville, Idaho’s most secluded penitentiary.

But after a few short weeks, the six men awaken in a meadow with no recollection of how they got there. They are left with meager supplies and a note: “You are being hunted.” So begins an epic game of survival.

Huff will be honored at an August ceremony in Los Angeles along with other authors and publishers who placed in the competition.
